It will literally change your life. It has started me into using food preservation recipes as well. It has a multitude of uses.

Re: RESULTS: My Salad in a Jar Experiment

Thanks so much for your old post and your recent one. I am starting this step now. I actually made the same salad for all 5 days. But your idea is far smarter. Anyway...I'm so happy with it because aside from the obvious cost factor, there is the dietary benefit and I have found I have a lot of space in my fridge. I bought enough produce that I have enough food for even next week. Thanks a lot.

Re: How I Eliminated $5000/year in Spending in One Afternoon

Great information. Isn't this type of stuff fun! Matt and I have tuned in more to this stuff too and it is fun seeing what you can save. Our goal is financial freedom by 45 so this has become a game! Being vegan endurance athletes we were spending the most on food too so instead of using credit for any food/beverage consumption, we moved to a cash kitty of $600/mo and use that so we can see what we are spending. If we travel or have guests in town we usually go over the $600/mo. but generally is a good gauge so it doesn't get into the $1,000/mo range (easy to do when you hit Jimbos or WFS deli a couple times a week!). We haven't had cable for 16 years but that is not for everyone ($100/mox12x16=$19,200 savings.) We also went to a one car/one motorcycle and bike commute family several years ago so save on gas and insurance (http://mps75.net/wordpress/.... We just took the plunge and cut out a housekeeper which is a good savings plus it helps keep one in tuned with stuff that needs to be done around the house for overall up keep. A guy Matt likes to follow is http://www.mrmoneymustache..... Pretty extreme but we are going down the minimalist path so interesting to see what he has to say. Happy savings in 2014!

Re: RESULTS: My Salad in a Jar Experiment

I've always seen the mason jar idea on pinterest but hadn't tried it out. I've been doing them almost daily for a year now, and in your first post you said arugula and mixed greens were a no go - but that's the only thing I've ever used and they hold up great! I do cucumber or tomato in my dressing and then the last thing before my lettuce is a layer of shredded carrots. I've never had lettuce issues!

Re: Demystifying (My) Lipomas

Same thing happen to me but mine is just coincidence. I used to have Lipoma on my wrist. The size is around 1 cm in diameter and the shape is round. It has been there for five year i guess.

I have change my diet, for the purpose of losing weight, by replacing all the snack with carrot and ended up eating around 200-500 gram carrot a day and no snack at all, some time I had the 100% fresh carrot juice.

After a month, the Lipoma is gone. (Actually, i'm not sure when it was gone since I didn't pay a lot of attention to it). After a search, I found that it is not disappear but shrunk to a size that you have to push a little to find it.

-----------------------------------------------

After internet search, I found that there no connection between losing weight and Lipoma smaller but I found this post so I decided to tell my story. At time the Lipoma is smaller, my weight is still the same.

Re: Demystifying (My) Lipomas

So what is a good breakfast, or meals?? My first lipomas came after my first child. There were 3 or 4 in my thighs and I had them removed. After my second child, I got about 100. I have had many removed and have recently discovered that a steroid shot will dry them up. After reading this info, the plant estrogen theory makes sense. I am also dabbling in chickweed capsules. I just recently began to use estradiol cream and got about 50 around the tops of my thighs. I really appreciate this info. Any more knowledge to pass on? Anything is worth trying.

Re: A Lost Opportunity to Demonstrate Brand Personality

I've had that happen with Amazon as well. It's funny how easy it is for brands to have some personality - and they just miss it. Generally due to offshoring or using a customer service center detached from the main brand (which I suspect is the case here.)

(Sorry I didn't reply earlier - I didn't get notification that a comment was posted and I was neglecting my blog again!)

Re: A Lost Opportunity to Demonstrate Brand Personality

Rich,

I love the post. I am wondering what kind of doctor you went to for this diagnosis.
